In July 2023 I was diagnosed with oral cancer which was surprising (generally a cancer that affects heavy smokers and/or drinkers) and difficult. I had extensive surgery and endured a horrific 6 weeks of radiation therapy treatments. Then I waited to get better. And waited. And waited. In June 2024 I found out the reason I never got better - the cancer was back. This (nothing fancy) blog is to keep you updated on "Chapter 2".

The new flap surgery went ahead yesterday. So yesterday and today (and tomorrow and Friday) the days revolve around fatigue, pain, meds, wound care, etc. Won’t know anything more until next week.
